Garlicky Ginger Green Beans
The easiest side dish that is packed full of flavor. I like to pair my beans with baked salmon or steak!
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
500 grams green beans
2 tablespoons coconut aminos
2 tablespoons fat (grass-fed butter, ghee, or coconut oil)
Salt and red pepper flakes to taste
Blanch your green beans in a stock pot of boiling water until they turn bright green. About 2-3 minutes. Strain and and transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. This keeps them nice and crunchy! Then heat your fat in a skillet and add you garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant and then add your beans, coconut aminos, salt and red pepper flakes. Cook for another few minutes until coconut aminos is reduced. Remove from heat and serve warm!
